12/4/2008 Dwyane Wade, G (Mia) Wade overcame his headache and foul trouble to score 23 points and add five assists in Miami's 93-89 victory over the short-handed Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.

Analysis: Wade is averaging 32.3 ponts on 52.2 percent shooting in his last four games after scoring a season-low 12 points on 5-of-14 shooting in a loss to Portland last Wednesday. Wade is averaging a league-best 28.4 points per game.
12/4/2008 Paul Millsap, F-C (Uta) Millsap led Utah with 20 points and 13 rebounds in Wednesday's 93-89 loss to Miami.

Analysis: Millsap has been solid for the Jazz since Carlos Boozer strained his left quadriceps on Nov. 21. Millsap has recorded a double-double in each of his last six games, averaging 18.2 points and 11.8 rebounds in those contests.
12/4/2008 LeBron James, SF (Cle) James had 21 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals in 28 minutes in the Cavs' 118-82 win over the Knicks on Wednesday.

Analysis: James, who was taken out early Wednesday when Cleveland built a big lead, is second in the league in scoring, averaging 27.4 points per game.
12/4/2008 Greg Oden, C (Por) Oden had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the Blazers' 98-92 win over Washington on Wednesday night.

Analysis: Oden has alternated effective outings with disappointing ones in his last five games. He followed a 10-point, 10-rebound performance with one point Friday against New Orleans. He then had 11 points and 13 rebounds Sunday before getting held to two points and missing two dunks Tuesday. Expect more consistent productivity from the rookie as the season progresses.
12/4/2008 Brandon Roy, G (Por) Roy scored 12 of his 22 points in the final eight minutes of the Blazers' 98-92 win over Washington on Wednesday night.

Analysis: Roy was honored Monday as Western Conference Player of the Week for his work from Nov. 24-30, when he averaged 20 points, 5.3 rebounds and six assists while shooting 51 percent on field-goal attempts. He pretty much kept up that pace across the board Wednesday, shooting 9-for-19 and adding eight rebounds and four assists.
12/4/2008 David Lee, F-C (NY) Lee had 16 points and 16 rebounds in the Knicks' 118-82 loss to the Cavs on Wednesday.

Analysis: Since becoming a starter on Nov. 21, Lee has recorded seven straight double-doubles, averaging 19.4 points and 14.4 rebounds in those contests.
12/4/2008 Antawn Jamison, F (Was) Jamison had 22 points and five assists while shooting 10-for-17 from the field in the Wizards' 98-92 loss to Portland on Wednesday night.

Analysis: Jamison is averaging 22.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and shooting 54.7 percent from the field over his last 10 games, but the Wizards are just 2-8 in that stretch.
12/4/2008 Kevin Love, F-C (Min) Love had 16 points and 12 rebounds, including eight on the offensive end, in the Timberwolves' 100-89 loss to Orlando on Wednesday night.

Analysis: It was the third straight double-digit scoring performance for Love, who hadn't scored 10 points in any of his previous nine contests. He's averaging 14.7 points and 10.7 boards while shooting 61.5 percent from the field over his last three games, and could be a nice fantasy pickup with upside if still available.
12/4/2008 Courtney Lee, G-F (Orl) Lee had a season-high 19 points and added four rebounds, three assists and three steals in 34 minutes off the bench in the Magic's 100-89 win over Minnesota on Wednesday night.

Analysis: Lee was 8-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, in his longest outing of his rookie season. Though Lee could continue to see increased playing time with starter Mickael Pietrus sidelined for the next month, he probably won't be able to deliver performances like Wednesday's on a regular basis.
12/4/2008 Charlie Villanueva, F (Mil) Villanueva scored 11 of his season-high 23 points in the fourth quarter to lift the Milwaukee Bucks over the Chicago Bulls 97-90 Wednesday night.

Analysis: After scoring just six points as a starter in a loss to Cleveland on Saturday, Villanueva is averaging 17.3 points and 7.2 rebounds in his last six games off the bench.
12/4/2008 Dwight Howard, C (Orl) Howard had 23 points, 14 rebounds, six blocked shots and three steals in the Magic's 100-89 win over Minnesota on Wednesday night.

Analysis: It was another typical day at the office for Howard, averaging 23.3 points, 15.2 rebounds and 4.2 blocks while shooting 63.6 percent from the field in his last six games.
12/4/2008 Kobe Bryant, SG (LAL) Bryant scored 32 points in the Lakers' win over Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Analysis: Bryant was 12-of-20 from the field a night after going just 10-of-21 for 28 points.
12/4/2008 Pau Gasol, F-C (LAL) Gasol had 22 points and 13 rebounds in the Lakers' win over Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Analysis: Gasol's double-double was his first since Nov. 14. He was 8-of-12 from the field and also had three blocked shots. Gaosl is averaging 17.4 points and 9.2 rebounds.
12/4/2008 Baron Davis, PG (LAC) Davis returned to Wednesday's game against Houston after leaving in the first quarter with apparent food poisoning.

Analysis: Davis, the Clippers' second-leading scorer, had four points and one assist in 10 minutes before he was replaced by Eric Gordon. He didn't warm up with his team during halftime, but started the third quarter.
12/4/2008 Derrick Rose, PG (Chi) Rose had 18 points and nine assists along with five turnovers in 43 minutes in Chicago's 97-90 loss to the Bucks on Wednesday.

Analysis: Rose, the No. 1 overall pick of this year's draft, is off to a outstanding start. He is first among rookies in assists (5.9 per game) second in scoring (18.7 per game) and fourth in rebounds (4.1 per game).
12/4/2008 Al Thornton, F (LAC) Thornton had 24 points and nine rebounds in the Clippers' 103-96 loss to Houston on Wednesday night.

Analysis: Thornton came on strong in the second half of his rookie season in 2007-08, but he's been even better than the Clippers expected in his sophomore campaign, averaging 17.4 points and 5.6 rebounds so far, including 20.3 points and 6.9 boards in his last eight games.
12/4/2008 Elton Brand, F-C (Phi) Brand was limited to 25 minutes in Philadelphia's loss to the Lakers on Wednesday after leaving with a strained right hamstring in the third quarter.

Analysis: Brand was 1-of-7 from the field for three points to go along with five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Brand, who signed a five-year deal with the Sixers worth around $80 million, played in only eight games last season because of a ruptured left achilles. He's been off to a respectable start, averaging 16.7 points and 10.0 rebounds. A Sixers spokesman said Brand didn’t inform them of the injury until midway through the fourth. He will be evaluated on Thursday.
12/4/2008 Zach Randolph, F-C (LAC) Randolph delivered his third straight double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds in the Clippers' 103-96 loss to Houston on Wednesday night.

Analysis: After an inauspicious Clippers debut in which he came off the bench to score seven points with four rebounds in 26 minutes, Randolph has averaged 25.7 points and 11.3 boards in three starts with his new club. He was averaging 17.6 points and 10.3 rebounds with New York before the Nov. 21 trade.
12/4/2008 Andre Miller, PG (Phi) Miller scored 26 points in the Sixers' loss to the Lakers on Wednesday.

Analysis: Miller had scored a season-high 28 points the night before as he attempts to break out of his recent scoring slump. He was 11-of-2 from the field Wednesday and had eight rebounds and five assists. He's averaging 15.3 points but was inconsistent in the second half of November.
12/4/2008 Yao Ming, C (Hou) Yao had 24 points and 10 rebounds in the Rockets' 103-96 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.

Analysis: Yao took only eight shots from the field, making six, but also went 12-for-13 from the free-throw line while posting his 10th double-double of the season. He's averaging 18.2 points and 9.3 boards while shooting 51.6 percent from the field and 87.8 percent from the line.
